Planning in my Happy Planner with Graphic 45's Steam Punk Spells

Have you ever had a scrapbook paper collection that you just fell in love with it the minute you saw it?  Well, that is the way I feel with Graphic 45's Steam Punk Spells Collection.  Now mind you this collection is now retired, but I am sure at some point this gorgeous steam punk paper collection will make its comeback in time.
What I love most about planning, is that I really don't have to go out and buy anything special to decorate my planner.  I am an avid crafter and have tons of scrap papers left over to work with and usually lots of stickers too.  But for the Washi Tape, I had rough time finding it until this week.  So I scooped up a few rolls of Halloween and Christmas Washi's from my local dollar tree.
I used my "this to that" Tape that I received in my amazing planner kit from Divine Elements of Divine to place my papers down on to my planner and then covered the edges (where it usually says morn, afternoon and Eve.) with my Dollar Tree Washi Tape.
I hope you like what I have done with this weeks layout and I would love for you to watch my video below. Thank you so much and Please feel free to comment below, I love hearing from you!! And also if you haven't subscribed to my channel please do :)

Do you need an easier way to keep track of your grocery Spending?

A few weeks ago I decided to purchase the add on to the Me & My big ideas 365 Happy Planner.. The add on by them is called the Household Planner.  I went through the ole Betty Crocker cook book and found several recipes that I thought would be simple and fast.
Now if you have a family and are on a strict budget this may work for you. On the left side is the recipes and on the right is the grocery list. I must say this made it pretty darn simple to quickly assemble my grocery list.  Today I picked out two of the recipes and with two kids in tow went to Wally World.. (Darn them postal holidays for messing with my daily grind) but I pushed on. I was quickly able to get the kids involved, especially my daughter Mia, my mini me, lol. Aidan well he's a boy, so you know how that goes. So I gave Mia the checklist to check off all the items that we were getting, while I waited for the deli man to cut our roast beef.
I decided to give them a couple items to go grab, assured that both items were well in my line of vision. I don't trust nobody, sheez, there's a lot of weirdos in Dallas, lol.  They returned quickly with their items and happily marked off their findings.  Mia went on to tell me what was left on the list. Needless to say we were out of the store in less than 15 minutes and spent a record of only 20.00.  I stuck to my guns and only purchased items from the list. Can't wait to update you on our next trip and also our opinions of the recipes.

Plan with me August 31 to September 6, 2015 Cigar box theme

I am so ready for fall!! Aren't you? In spirit of getting ready for the fall I decided to use Prima Market Inc. 6x6 paper stack called Cigar Box Secrets.  I love the fall colors and the fact that its shabby chic/vintage really adds to its rustic charm.  The Washi tapes are a mixture of Hobby Lobby's brand paper studio and Graphic 45's "Gatsby" print Washi tape. I cut used a varitey of papers from the paper stack and cut them into rectangles measuring 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 to fit my boxes and then I distressed all the sides with Tim Holtz Distress ink (Tea Dye) using a small cosmetic sponge.  Lastly, I glued them down with my glue stick and then applied my Washi tape in the centers and the edges of my pages.  I hope you like my design for this week and can't wait to get into my fall madness!!! It's on like Donkey Kong.  I invite you to check out my step by step video on my scrapbook channel but as of next week I will add all videos to my new channel that I have already opened, so if you want to subscribe (hint hint..lol)  you can do so.  Have a wonderful week and will chat with you some more throught the week as I plan on doing some hauls getting ready for the fall !!!! Planning Aug 17-23 with Echo Parks "Homegrown"

August always reminds me of our local farmer's market in Dallas,Texas.  Even more so now that I started my Gluten Free life this week.  So naturally it came to me that since I can't eat breads I need lots of fruits and vegetables to help get rid of  those cravings and I'm hoping that fresh farm produce will do the trick.
Here is how I created this weeks planner layout.  I started off by cutting my papers into 1 1/2 x 2  1/2 inch rectangles with my cutting board.  I then wanted to cover over my (morning afternoon evening) banners.  So in order to do that I cut strips of the burlap paper from the paper kit into 1/8 inch strips. Once I cut everything I wanted for my weeks layout, I began to put papers down randomly until there was a pattern that grabbed my eyes but not so distracting that I wouldn't be able to add my bullet tags. I then used my 3m glue stick and put all papers down into place.  Now we get to my favorite part... I grabbed some cute red and white polka dot washi tape and put it down vertically on the insides of the page.  Then added in stickers from the collection that I liked.  After I was finished and happy with my layout I then grabbed my planner memo stickers and wrote down our schedule for the week on them. I use them by color, like my plans are pink, Mia's are Blue since that is her favorite color and Aidan's is Green, they didn't have red ones that I noticed but red is his favorite color so pretty soon I will get those and the orange is for everybody.  I hope you like this weeks layout. Thank you for stopping by and looking 😀.  Please feel free to comment, I love hearing from you and if you have any ideas please let me know.
